About the Presenters
Adisa Anderson, PhD is a licensed psychologist who has worked at UC Berkeley since 2014 in Counseling and Psychological Services. He currently runs the Men of Color Support Group, offers drop-in consultation services to underrepresented student populations at a Satellite office for CAPS, and serves as the liaison to a number of campus partners including the Black Recruitment and Retention Center, African American Student Development, and Black Staff and Faculty Organization. He is also actively engaged in multicultural outreach programming on campus.
Aaron S. Cohen, PhD is a licensed psychologist who has worked at UC Berkeley since 1999 in a number of departments including Counseling and Psychological Services and the Disabled Student's Program. He leads many of the suicide intervention and awareness trainings on campus, and currently runs the Residence Life Satellite office for CAPS. He has also worked for 13 years on Alameda County's Crisis Response Program Mobile Team.
Continuing education credit will be provided for licensed psychologists, LMFT’s, LCSW’s, and LPCC’s by Girls Incorporated of Alameda County (GIAC). GIAC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. GIAC maintains responsibility for this program and its contents.
Important Notice: Those who attend the workshop and complete the evaluation form will receive three continuing education credits. Please note that APA rules require that we only give credit to those who attend the entire workshop. Those arriving more than 15 minutes after the start time or leaving before the workshop is completed will not receive CE credits.
